Job Purpose
The incumbent has the responsibility of enhancing corporate objectives by providing directions for the Sales and Marketing Group in order to attract new business, provide superior customer service both internally and externally, ensure continuous growth of market share and maximize shareholder return.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops strategic customer relationships with a view to retaining current business and building the Group’s portfolio
- Builds a pipeline of future sales and ensures that the Company’s existing client revenue targets are achieved
- Develops and manages the budgetary portfolio for assigned divisions
- Maintains close contact with Principals to foster stronger ties and ensure long-term relationships
- Develops and maintains close contact with key customers to obtain feedback on their requirements
- Ensures effective execution of key accounts and brand plans by Sales and/or Marketing Teams
- Monitors and controls the Group’s expenses ensuring optimum use of resources
- Manages the Group’s Accounts Payables to capitalize on maximum credit terms from Principals
- Communicates with the Director and Managing Director on a regular basis on all aspects of the operations of the Group
- Ensures the successful execution of the Company’s Performance Management System for the Group
- Ensures continuous training and development of Group’s staff to ensure they acquire the necessary skills for excellent job performance
- Collaborates with Managers/Supervisors/Team Leaders to develop individual KPIs in line with the Group’s objectives.
- Ensures the application of and adherence to established HSE measures and procedures to ensure the well-being of all employees and the Company’s customers
- Ensures the Company’s quality and customer service standards and procedures are being adhered to and reinforce compliance with direct reports
- Attends all Senior Management meetings and Board meetings by invitation
- Any other related responsibilities that may be assigned by the Director
Academic Qualifications, Experience and Soft Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field. A Master’s Degree would be considered an asset
- A minimum of ten (10) years in a Sales or Marketing environment with at least five (5) years at a senior management level
- Or relevant combination of training and experience
